Charlie Rose interviews Thomas Friedman

Last night I watched a great Charlie Rose interview, with the always impressive Thomas Friedman. They started out talking outsourcing to India, which is another important and fascinating topic and then moved into the Iraq situation, in which Friedman expresses his desire for a change of 'ideas' in the middle east achieved through regime change in Iraq and installing democracy. The most fascinating part of the interview though, was the topic of Friedman's next book entitled something like 'The World is Flat', in which he addresses the issue of India and China's meteoric rise in the past five years and the US inability to ensure our competitiveness and place in the world going forward. This is a very important topic and one which should be at the forefront of the presidential political debate. Thinkmedia
